Mel Brooks fan N. Wolf sent this tip to a Playbill article in which Mel discusses the current status of the Blazing Saddles musical. It’s ALIVE!!!! Oh wait, that’s the wrong movie. Well, well, looks like we’re finally getting an upgrade to our Mel Brooks Collection DVD set released but only 3 years ago. This time around there will be 9 films included, with the already released Spaceballs the newcomer.  Despite still being 2 months away, there’s already a review on Amazon in regards to the suspect […]

Today the world said goodbye to Dom DeLuise. Dom was a “regular,” and it was always fun to see where he might pop up in the latest Brooks feature. I will always remember him for his roles in Blazing Saddles, as the flamboyant director, and History of the World Part I, as the emperor. Dom […]

Hi All, Dan from La La Land Records (lalalandrecords.com) informed me that the they have released an archival quality limited edition CD for Blazing Saddles. The CD was produced with John Morris and Warner Brothers and is the first-ever official, studio-licensed release, in any format, of the full music soundtrack to the classic 1974 Warner […]

Was just reading the LA Weekly and saw that The Rialto theatre in Pasadena, CA  (USA) (http://www.landmarktheatres.com/Market/LosAngeles/LosAngeles_Frameset.htm or 626-388-2122) will be screening Blazing Saddles Saturday May 26th at Midnight. I won’t be able to make it but maybe some lucky fans will get a chance to catch this on the big screen. Forget Pirates… bring […]

Frankie Laine passed away today at the age of 93. Laine’s career included over 70 records spanning virtually every music style. After his success in the late 40’s and 50’s Laine enjoyed a second career singing the title songs for various movies and television shows. His rendition of Rawhide no doubt was a factor in […]
