Comments: none Apparently the 2010 taping from the Writer’s Bloc event was aired on HBO a few weeks ago (9/9/11). While it’s been edited down to just under an hour, it should give folks a glimpse of the two that they might not have seen in the past, and it’s absolutely wonderful that it’s being shared with [...] Writers Bloc is hosting an event with Mel Brooks who’ll be interviewing author and talk show host Dick Cavett about his book “Talk Show: Confrontations, Pointed Commentary, and Off-Screen Secrets” on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, 7:30 pm (Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, CA). Tickets are available to the general public via ticketweb. For more information [...] Carol Sloane sent in this nice story about a visit from Mel in 1958, prior to the release of The Producers. It’s quite amazing and very much Mel! Check it out at Carol’s blog. Mel, along with Robert De Niro, Bruce Springsteen, Grace Bumbry and David Brubreck were recipients of The 2009 Kennedy Center Honors presented on Dec 6th. The Honors represent those that have made life time contributions to the American culture. The event will be broadcast December 29th (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, with [...] It’s only a few days until the Spaceballs Animated Blitz on G4tV.
